Happy birthday Dexter!

Our baby boy turns 2 years old today! Dexter really is the light of our lives. He has made such a positive impact on us since we rescued him from the humane society and brought him into our home almost a year ago.

He wakes us up with paw-paws and kisses. He welcomes us home with tail wags and a goofy smile. He puts us asleep with his head buried on our pillows.

He runs with us. He snuggles with us. He comforts us when we’re sad or lonely.

Dexter is our best friend, and we wanted to give him a fun little treat for his birthday (a day early because Chris is on the road tonight with the team, and I’m going out with friends)…

I baked him cupcakes.

(How cute are these? I found them at a local doggie boutique!) 

We let him have a friend over and fed them both a treat!

We also took him for a run earlier in the day and let him curl up with us in bed later that night.

I hope he had a good day. Because he makes my every day wonderful.
